March in KW is colour month!

We have had so much fun exploring colours! We began our month looking at rainbows and we discovered that the colours in the rainbow are always in the same order! We made some beautiful rainbow art using oil pastels and watercolour paints. Then we learned about the most important colours in the whole world: primary colours! Did you know that with just red, blue and yellow, you can make every other colour? It was very exciting to experiment with secondary colours by mixing red, yellow and blue paints. We also learned about the colour wheel and where each colour belongs.

This month, we read books by Eric Carle and admired the style of his illustrations. We discovered that we are artists, and we made some amazing caterpillars and butterflies inspired by Eric Carle. Next time you are in our school, you can see our creations on the bulletin board outside of our classroom.
