3K Japan Flags

As part of the Japan unit in 3K, students looked at the flags of each of Japan's 47 prefectures. Students in 3K narrowed down our favourite 16 flags, and hosted a March Madness style tournament to decide which flag was the Bairdmore School favorite. Classes from around the school had the opportunity to vote on their favourite flag.  Students in 3K gathered and interpreted the data as each week the class counted up the votes to find the winners of each March Madness Flag Playoffs. This was a fun way to incorporate data management and analysis, art appreciation, and social studies into a school-wide activity! Big congratulations go to the prefecture Saitama who won the Flag Playoffs and was crowned Bairdmore School's favourite.
