Kindergarten Parent/Guardian Information Evening

Kindergarten begins for students with staggered entry the week of September 8 to 11, 2026. Children start regular kindergarten attendance in our half-day program in their morning or afternoon class, beginning on Monday September 14, 2026. In the 2026-2027 school year, our students in kindergarten are born in 2021. Please contact the school office if you have a child who is turning 5 years old by December 31, 2026 to register for school as school as possible.

We will host a Kindergarten Information Evening and Registration in February 2027

Following our Kindergarten Information Evening on, we begin accepting registrations online for children who will begin kindergarten in the 2027-2028 school year.

The focus of our Kindergarten Information Evening is to share information about our school and Kindergarten entry for parents/guardians who have a child that turns 5 years old by December 31, 2027.

If you live in our catchment area and you have a child that was born in 2022, you are invited to register them in February for Kindergarten for the 2027-2028 school year.

When Registering Your Child/Children For Kindergarten 

• If you are a permanent resident, in addition to the registration package and other required documents, please provide a copy of your child’s permanent resident document or card (both sides), as well as parents/guardians passports.
• If you are new to the country, please provide a copy of your child’s immunization records.
• If you are a newcomer to Canada, here on a Work/Study/Visitor/Refugee Permit, please contact Donna Gray at Pembina Trails School Division International Program's (ISP) Office (204-488-1757). Donna will advise as to the documents required. Then, you will be able to follow-up at Bairdmore School with your child's registration. In addition, please provide a copy of your child’s immunization records.
