Student Success at Pembina Trails Collegiate!

Congratulations to Ishmit Pawar of Pembina Trails Collegiate! He competed in a two-day competition at Skills Canada. His first competition was to troubleshoot problems on a Windows system and do cyber security tasks. The second day was a quiz on a Linux machine. The last task was to complete a simulation of a computer network that he had to configure. Congratulations for placing first and winning a gold medal.

Chizara Anyanwu has been selected to receive a $100,000 Schulich Leader Scholarship to study Computer Science at The University of Toronto in September 2026. The Schulich Leader Scholarship is Canada’s largest undergraduate scholarship. Only 50 of these awards are awarded across Canada.
A graduate of Pembina Trails Collegiate in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Chizara was selected for her outstanding academic achievements. This is the first nominee to win a Schulich Leader Scholarship at Pembina Trails Collegiate.
"We are delighted to celebrate Chizara as a Schulich Leader, part of a growing community of scholars. Her passion for STEM and her entrepreneurial mindset will help strengthen Canada’s future,” says Judy Schulich, President, The Schulich Foundation. Congratulations!
