What We Offer
The Pembina Trails Alternative High School offers students an opportunity to complete a high school diploma in a unique and supportive setting. The school day is personalized to the student's needs and each student has a learning plan to meet their goals of graduation.
Students attending Pembina Trails Alternative High School participate in personalized planning that allows for academic and personal growth. Students may choose to access any of the following learning opportunities, in addition to what we offer here in house:
- University of Manitoba's Active Living Centre
- High School Apprenticeship Program
- Credit for Employment
- Manitoba Institute for Trades and Technology (in partnership with Pembina Trails School Division)
- Volunteer credits
- UMCycle - Program where students learn bicycle maintenance and are able to leave with a bike of their own, a helmet and a lock.
- First Air & CPR Certification for beginner & intermediate
- Food Handler's Certificate
- Access to U of M Food Labs in association with the Foods & Nutrition Course
- U of M School of Art - access to artist workshops
- Fireside chats at The Bald Eagle Lodge on campus
- Access to a variety of speakers through Family Studies 40S
- Elder & Knowledge Keeper visits on Tuesday afternoons
- Access to Informnet courses
