At Royal School our Music program offers a wide variety of opportunities for the students to participate in not only the classroom but extracurricular opportunities as well, such as Grade 5-6 Recorder Club, Grades 1-6 Choirs as well as the opportunity to perform with the Pembina Trails Voices if they audition and are accepted in this divisional opportunity.

Students perform in the Winnipeg Music Festival where they perform 2 songs and then receive a "Choral Clinic" from an adjudicator.

Kindergarten children learn to keep a steady beat on their bodies and with instruments as they sing and do a variety of musical activities.

Students also perform at a Winter Concert and Spring Musical Celebration every year.  Performance is an important part of the music experience for the children.  A polished presentation, and the awareness of an audience, helps the children to learn and present appropriate stage presence.
