Cross Country and Milk Run

Students in grade 4-8 will have the opportunity to participate in 3 cross country meets each and 1 provincial Milk Run cross country championship in September and early October.

Grades 4-6 will run three races at Crescent Drive Park. They will be transported by school bus to the park, run against other schools and then be brought back to VW. They are to practice twice weekly on their own time please.

Grade 4 students will run 1000m.

Grade 5 students will run 1200m.

Grade 6 students will run 1400m.

Grade 7-8 students will participate in three races at LaBarriere Park. They will be transported by school bus to the park, run against other schools and then be brought back to VW. They are to practice twice weekly on their own time please.

All students will run 2400m.

There is no cost for Cross Country at VW.

The top 5 athletes from each grade and gender level from the first meet will qualify for the Milk Run. This is an additional meet at LaBarriere Park run by Athletics MB. There is a $10 registration fee for the Milk Run.
