Children are more likely to succeed in school when parents or guardians are informed and involved in their education. École Viscount Alexander staff recognizes the need to work in collaboration with parents to ensure all students succeed.
The Manitoba Curriculum Framework of Outcomes and Standards documents identify the prescribed general specific learning outcomes for students in Manitoba. A curriculum framework is a subject specific document which identifies students learning outcomes for what students are expected to know and can do as they relate to the knowledge and skills of a subject area.
- General Learning Outcomes describe the knowledge, skills and attitudes that students are expected to demonstrate from grade 5 to 8.
- Specific Learning Outcomes identify the component knowledge, skills and attitudes that contribute to the general learning outcomes that students are expected to demonstrate by the end of the grade.
