Option Courses 

Art: 

ÉVA grade 7 students will continue to develop their understanding of the elements and principles of design and how to incorporate these elements in different projects throughout the year. The emphasis is on skills such as drawing, perspective, colour theory and painting techniques, 3D sculptural design elements and cartooning. Students will build on the artistic skills they possess and experience a variety of media while keeping a drawing journal to document their progress. Students will be exposed to historical and cultural examples of art to develop their observation skills and to explore new artistic media and investigate the principles and elements of art used by other artists.

Band:

Grade 7 Concert Band stresses proper playing technique, posture and basic instrumental skills in a performance based setting.
